Music Therapy with Miss Moon
Happy Monday, Everybody!!!! It's a new week, one with full of new opportunities, and a new Music Therapy with Miss Moon song.
Let's face it: Once and awhile, life is going to knock us on our bubblegooses. It happens! It has to me, at least.. and I am more than a bit sure its happen to you, too! My song choice for this week from Lenny Kravitz's upcoming album, Black And White America, serves as a reminder on what to do in those instances when we fall. I hope you all will enjoy, Stand.
Don't give up,
You're gonna see tomorrow
That you'll be on your feet again
Sometimes the world's gonna knock you over
But you will see who you are your friends
Come on, stand, up again
Come on, stand,
Stand, you're gonna run again
Your faith and patience will be your soldiers
To guide you through your troubled times
Just put one foot in front of the other
The battles are inside your mind
You have the power to face your demons
No matter how they go on time
And rid yourself of your fear and weakness
So you can start to live your life
COME ON! stand, up again
Come on, stand,
Stand, you're gonna run again
COME ON! stand, up again
Come on, stand,
Stand, you're gonna run again
Pick up your will
And put on your face
If you need to, just take my hand
It's time to demonstrate, don't hesitate
Just get up and say: Yes, I can
Stand, up again
Come on, stand,
Stand, you're gonna run again
Stand, up again
Come on, stand,
Stand, you're gonna run again

Be Blessed: Because You're Stronger Than You Think!!
" We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot."
~ Eleanor Roosevelt
" We acquire the strength we have overcome."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
" Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow'."
~ Mary Anne Radmacher
I consider myself to be a pretty strong woman. But I have to admit there are times where all I want to do is curl up in a little ball and rock myself for a few hours.
And I think it's okay to feel that way sometimes... we all go through trying experiences that really test the boundaries of our spiritual and emotional endurance. The objective I've discovered is to acknowledge that I'm facing an obstacle, feel all of the feelings surrounding it (fear, anger, frustration, hopelessness, etc.), learn from it, and lastly, pick myself up, dust myself off ::sings:: and start all over again...
When encountering an obstacle, remember that you may bend, but you won't break. We all possess a reserve of strength that helps us to (Like Gladys sang) keep on keepin' on. Remember that reserve is there for us when we need it and upon facing whatever obstacle placed before you... you will emerge stronger and wiser for facing it.

A Little [ZO! featuring CARLITTA DURAND] for a Saturday Night
Hey Everybody! Saturday has come upon us once again. I am in a mellow mood, and tonight's song reflects that. I've been more than a little obsessed about this song for the past few months, and I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to share. I hope you all will enjoy Zo!'s remake of the classic Jones' Girls song,"Nights Over Egypt", with vocals by the lovely Carlitta Durand.

Let's Talk Tresses Friday: What's your BEST Hair Tip!?!?!?
Picture it: Naturals from all over the globe are invited to share their best hair tip... You have the opportunity to share a secret weapon, a product you can't live without, a how-to, inspiring words, or a recipe for some D-I-Y hair heaven.
Each of your messages will placed in a time capsule and buried for the next 95 years.... to be opened, read, and enjoyed by naturals of a future generation.... a long, long time from now.
This week's discussion should be pretty simple by now... what would YOU contribute to the Natural Hair Time Capsule? Leave a comment and dish! I'd love to get a wonderful dialogue, so please be sure to share this post. Who knows? Perhaps it might inspire a real Time Capsule to be made! :)
