Wanna Wanna Wednesdays: Alloy's Olivia Color-Block Skimmer

Behold this shoe!!! I mean it... behold it!! Kneel before the Zod that is this shoe!!! This shoe brought about one of those times when I spot something, groan audibly and think to myself, "Why aren't you in my life, like, NOW?!?". For these obvious reasons, it's my first Wanna Wanna Wednesday item for August!!

The Olivia Color-Block Skimmer ($29.90, Alloy) is just beautiful to me, because here in this one shoe are ALL of my favorite shades. And since I wear these colors a lot, I will always have a shoe to match!! LOL

Since my shoe size has changed along with my clothing size, I have to be careful about what size I get in this shoe (And yes.. .I will be getting these!!) but I will exchange them until I get it right if necessary. I can totally see myself rocking these to work with a nice pair of trousers and a blue top, with a flirty dress, and with jeans and a tee shirt!! Frankly, I have a feeling that these shoes are going to be my go to shoes when not wearing my sneakers!! LOL

Wanna Wanna Wednesday... ALDO'S Brendle Sandal

Can you believe we're almost at the end of June and I have yet to rock a pair of sandals?!? I've been rocking my sneakers most days, with the occasional ballet flat, but sandals? Nope! And frankly... my toes need to breathe! LOL

This is why I am very, very happy about this week's newest addition to my Wanna Wanna Wednesday list! Introducing the Brendle Sandal ($27.99, ALDO Shoes). I predict that these shoes will be rocked by yours truly by summer's end!

Color Blocking is one fashion trend I wasn't always excited about. At first, I admit to being a bit hesitant to try it, because I thought big girls were possibly not made for this trend (I believe the words I used was "I don't want to look like no bag of skittles!!" LOL). My own self-deprecation aside, I did try color blocking in a small way, and I loved how it looked. It's the perfect way to add a bit of pizzazz in your wardrobe, and it's a beautiful summer look! I've recreated 4 celebrity color block looks for plus size fashionistas and I must say that when color blocking, the best place to go is OneStopPlus.com... you're able to sort by color and clothing type!!

The first look, is Demi Moore's and it is (I think) the most easy to rock, perfect for someone who was like me and interested in color blocking but a little hesitant to do so -

The next look comes courtesy of the beautiful Solange Knowles, and this is actually one I'd love to recreate for myself. It incorporates more color, but because she opted for softer pastels, its color blocking without being too overwhelming -

Last, but most definitely not least, we have color blocking à la June Ambrose, y'all. This one goes balls to the walls, no-holds-barred, technicolor crazy in the BEST way. I admit, I had to tone down a bit of the color, (I could not find a pair of pants that shade ANYWHERE in plus sizes!) but it remains a look that is not for the feint of heart -
