Music Therapy with Miss Moon

Good Morning & Happy Monday, All!!! So this past Wednesday, my Twitter feed was BLOWING up with shout outs to Erykah Badu for introducing her Twitter followers to King.... She was even promising to follow everyone who presents her with a copy of their iTunes receipt for King's EP, The Story

After reading so many wholehearted raves about King's (a trio of women - Twins Paris and Amber Strother, along with Anita Bias) music, I had to mosey over to their website to check out their sound.

About two minutes into the music, I had to put this week's choice for Music Therapy on pause.... because I seriously needed to buy this EP!! And between you and me? I didn't even send my receipt to Mizz Badu (as much as I would love to have her follow me!)... introducing this song into my life was truly blessing enough!! So I am paying it forward by sharing the blessings with all of you... I hope you all will enjoy "The Story" by King.

Taking a journey to a land afar,
Been thinking...
Charting my voyage to a different star,
Got a story to tell...
Goodbye, Farewell.

Packing my bags and I'm on the run,
Train's leaving...
Off to the land of eternal sun,
Got a story to tell...
Goodbye, Farewell.
Goodbye, Farewell.
Goodbye, Farewell.

Do do do do...

Riding the rails to my destiny,
To where I'm 'sposed to be...
The engine is humming underneath my feet,
I'm so far from home...
And still a ways to go, go.

The ride is rocky and the road is long,
But I know that...
My soul is never gonna steer me wrong,
Gonna master the art...
Of following my heart, heart.

Following my heart...
(And I don't worry what tomorrow will bring)
Following my heart...
(I don't need no second thought when it's my heart I'm following)

Do do do do...

Riding on the train,
Taking my trip...
I'm-a keep on riding,
'Till I reach the mothership.
'Till I reach the mothership.
Riding on the train,
Taking our trip...
We're gon' keep on riding,
'Till we reach the mothership.
'Till we reach the mothership.
